Shawan Rice is a New Orleans based vocalist, songwriter, and storyteller whose work centers on original compositions and reinterpretations of influential repertoire. She performs regularly across the city with a rotating lineup of highly regarded musicians, including Donald Ramsey and Chris Senac on bass, Terrence Houston and Rodney Weber on drums, among a wide network of collaborators within the New Orleans music community.
